On May 30, 2016 China Express Industry (International) Development Conference was held in Beijing. As one of the important contents of the 4th China (Beijing) International Service Trade Fair, this conference signed the China Express Service Strategic Cooperation Agreement, with a total contract value of over 100 billion yuan. Many cooperations have contributed to the green development of China’s express delivery industry. International development and integration with upstream and downstream industries will play an important role.

Gao Hongfeng, chairman of the China Express Association and former vice minister of the Ministry of Transport, Liu Xiaoming, member of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Transport Service Department of the Ministry of Transport, Liu Jun, deputy director of the State Post Bureau, and Li Xiong, deputy general manager of China Post Group, attended the conference.
Gao Hongfeng pointed out that since the first Beijing Fair, express delivery service has always been one of the fastest-growing and most active bright spots. The previous China Express Industry (International) Development Conferences have always paid attention to the latest trends in the express delivery industry, and have built important Exchange and cooperation platform. It is hoped that express delivery companies can build consensus through this conference, strengthen their confidence, and work together for the faster and better development of my country's express delivery industry.
Liu Jun said that the development of the express delivery industry has ushered in an unprecedented major strategic opportunity. The next five years will be a critical period for the express delivery industry to climb the hurdles against the international first-class standards, transform and upgrade, and also a critical period for deepening reform and opening up. It is also a period of opportunity to narrow the gap and catch up with development. Express delivery companies should firmly establish and fully implement the five development concepts, cultivate new engines for industry growth, enhance the integrity and coordination of development, help the construction of national ecological civilization, comprehensively improve the level of open development of the industry, and promote users to have more access sense.
At the meeting, the total contract value of the express delivery industry exceeded 100 billion yuan, setting a new record for the signing of the express service sector. More than 20 projects have been signed, involving multiple strategic cooperation between the express industry and domestic and foreign e-commerce platforms, financial industry, manufacturing and other industries, as well as scientific research institutes, universities, and industry associations.
